Copenhagen
Denmark
Cruise Departure: Best Option (Taxi):
Cost: ~250–350 DKK ($35–$50 USD).
Time: 20–30 minutes depending on traffic.
Tip: Uber works in Copenhagen, but the local app Viggo (electric cars) or standard taxis (Dantaxi) are often more reliable.
Transitioning to Your Cruise
Since you are ending your 5-day stay by boarding a ship, this video explains the port logistics.
- Port Location: Note that most cruise ships dock at the Ocean Quay (Oceankaj), which is further out in an industrial area.
- Transport to Ship: While there are city buses, they often only take Danish Krone (unlike the rest of the city). Taxis are available but expensive; since there is no Uber, plan for a pre-booked car or a taxi for the four of you and your luggage.
- Canal Tours: For a more intimate group experience before you board, the video recommends “Hey Captain” small-boat tours (max 12 people) over the massive tourist canal boats.
